The California Mountain-Digger Bee (Habropoda depressa) is an anthophorine bee in the family Apidae, found in the San Francisco Bay Area.
This species is one of two members of the Habropoda genus commonly found at California garden sites.
Its flight season is from February until May, with peak activity in March and April.
California mountain-digger bees are solitary bees that nest in the soil, often in vertical banks but also in flat, bare ground. Nests are frequently aggregated.
