- Delicate bunch grass. Leaf mass is usually finer textured than N. pulchra and seeds are much smaller
- The culms are often much taller than the leaf clump with a fine lacey textured inflorescence
- Tolerates sun or shade and is more typically found in slightly shadier spots than N. pulchra
- 1 to 3 feet tall
- Allow 2.5 to 3 feet spread for each plant
- Found in Molate, Bay hills, Diablo and Hamilton sections
