- Short lived perennial 6 to 30 inches tall
- Alternate leaves on hairy stems
- Found growing in open grassy fields and open woodlands
- Flowers pale pink to white with yellow centers appearing in May and June
- Flower heads ½ inch to ¾ inch across with very fine rays
- Gets its name from its scent, which is thought to repel fleas
- Found in Bay hills and Diablo sections
