Texas Striped Sweat Bee

The Texas Striped Sweat Bee (Agapostemon texanus) is a bee in the family Halictidae, found in the San Francisco Bay Area.

This species is a common and widespread member of the Agapostemon genus, found at garden sites throughout California.

Its flight season is from March into october, with peak flight activity from May into September.

Texas striped sweat bees are solitary bees that nest in the ground, often in bare, flat ground.
