Monk Longhorn

The Monk Longhorn (Eucera frater) is a longhorned bee in the family Apidae, found in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Its flight season is from March to June.

Monk longhorn bees are solitary bees that nest in the soil.

Females are generalists when foraging for pollen, and primarily focus on Erysimum, Nepeta and Lavandula at garden sites.
